Now that we have finished watching our Girls Swim and Dive team wrap up their season, it's time for our boys to take their spot in the glory. The boy’s swim season is right around the corner, starting in the next few weeks. Combining with the other few high schools in the valley, including the Central High Warriors, the Fruita Wildcats, the Grand Junction Tigers, and our own mighty Palisade Bulldogs, our boys are pumped and ready for their season. Oliver Shrader is a sophomore here at Palisade, and will be swimming his second season for the team. Shrader started swimming when he was in seventh grade for the CMU Mavs junior team, and continued with his passion into his high school career. “Last year was a really great first freshman season. It was fun to get to swim for the school’s team, and I enjoyed the connections I made along the way. We did pretty well last year for as small as our team was, and did pretty well at conference. I’m excited to see what comes out of this season.” Shrader explains. Oliver is often caught swimming distance, but loves swimming every event he can to broaden his strengths. We can always expect hard work, perseverance, and strong effort from our swimmers, which will set us up for success this coming season. Remember to pack the stands and show your support for our incredible bulldog swim team. Good luck this season, and go Bulldogs!
