We all know about the Ukraine and Russian wars, but there are some essential things that have happened over the past few days. Ukraine has intercepted multiple Russian Attacks after Moskow’s forces fired more than 30 missiles at the country on Thursday. One person did die when more than 15 missiles were fired over Kylv. Air raid sirens have been going off more frequently and many emergency power outages were imposed. Who is helping Ukraine? The U.S. has officially announced they will send 31 Abrams tanks to Ukraine with the Pentagon finalizing a training plan and trying to get it underway as soon as possible. Germany has also confirmed they will deliver 14 leopards 2 tanks from their own stock to Kyiv. As of now, 8 million people have been evacuated into Europe. This is only about 19% of their population. About 17.7 million citizens are still in Ukraine. About 13,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died due to the conflict, and about 40,000 Ukraine citizens have died. Right now Ukraine is depending on its energy facilities for power. Russia has launched 55 missiles at these energy facilities which were hit along with some of Ukraine's other power supplies. Ukraine was able to shoot down 47 cruise missiles, including 20 that were over their capital city. These missiles were launched from Russian warplanes and ships in the Black Sea according to the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi. Palisade student Izaiuh Jones stated, “It’s upsetting to see what is happening in Ukraine and all the innocent people who have lost their lives.” Hopefully, more people are able to get out of Ukraine so they can stay out of harm's way
