Senior Spotlight: Softball

This week we had the opportunity to interview the seniors on the softball team. Jordan Bauer, Taylor Mosby, Jentrie Bronson, Jadyn Mullaney, Melissa Carroll, and Nalynne Sanchez have all had an incredible season with an overall record of 17-7. They were asked how they feel their season went overall and Taryn responded with, “I feel like it went well.” Taylor added, “I think we were successful.” After Jadyn commented that they won league, they all agreed and mentioned that it was the 3rd time in a row that they won league. They were then asked what some of their favorite memories were and Jordan replied with, “Definitely the hotel rooms.” Taryn added, “There was one night where we did a movie night and got hot cocoa and stuff like that.” Upon that Jentrie added, “We ended up having the neighbor yelling at us because we were being too loud.” Afterwards, they were asked what challenges they faced throughout the season. Taryn said “The injuries.” Taylor continued by saying, “We had a few injuries over the years, but I feel like this year we had the most.” They were asked what they are going to miss and they agreed on the team and the bus rides. A favorite memory on the bus was “Mark yelling at us to get back on the bus” said Jadyn. Taylor added, “Melissa passed out on the bus so we gave her every blanket.” Melissa responded to that saying “It was so cozy!” Jordan added something about their senior year and night saying, “I feel this was one of the hard ones because us older girls are still trying to figure out if we want to play college or not.” Melissa added, “No one talks about how hard being a senior is. Seeing all of your friends and realizing ‘Wow, this is probably it.’” These girls have had an amazing season with lots of fun memories to look back on.
