Only three busy weeks till Christmas break, here's what's happening. This Friday we will be having an assembly put on by Student Council. There will be another assembly the following Friday as well. These assemblies will just be introducing people doing winter sports and will have some information on spirit weeks in the next couple of weeks and will have some games throughout. On the T.V. by the main office, there is a Q.R. code that you can scan and put your walk-up song. The walk-up song has to be clean and it will get played over the intercom during the passing period in-between classes.
Winter sports have officially started up and are coming in hot with competitions this weekend. Boys basketball is starting off their season strong with three games this week. They have a game Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Central High School. Thursday is against Moffat, Friday is against Castle View, and lastly, they play Basalt on Saturday. Girls basketball also has three games also on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They will be playing Prospect Ridge Academy, Aspen, and Rifle and all of those games will be at Roaring Fork. Boys Wrestling has a dual versus Cedaredge at Cedaredge on Friday night and then they have duals the next day at CMU.
There is only one more week to get your season pass to Powderhorn for the discounted price of $230. The papers that you need to get the discount are outside of Mr. Torphin’s classroom hanging up on the wall. To pay for the Ski pass you need to go to the accounting window at the office. To get more information go talk to Mr. Steele or Mr. Torphin.
