The Halloween contest was great, am I right? It was such an amazing way for the school to mainly come all together to watch all the creativity, effort, and time that was used to have an end result with such an amazing outcome of the many unique costumes.
Every single one of the costumes were unique and outstanding in their own way, but there has to be a winner to every contest. Furthermore let’s announce our winners for the teachers shall we? Our reigning champs have taken the win, the math department. It may come as no surprise to some of you who had voted for them, but for others it may have. To add on, the science department was leading the contest for a while there, causing some of the math teachers to start feeling the pressure settling in.
Following up on last week's story, Mr. Mohr has said that the science department was going to involve lots of death and explosions. Moreover that is just what they brought to play. Their skit as well as their theme was when the dinosaurs died by the asteroids. Confetti cannons were used to create the explosions of blood coming from the dinosaurs as they were hit with the asteroids.
The teachers had such creative costumes, some of them included; historical figures done by the history department, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs done by the English department, The Bachelor done by electives and other teachers who had no group, of course the math department being Marvel Characters. Additionally, the students had some amazing costumes as well. There were some blow up costumes which would fight to declare their dominance, but the students who won were Brittany Villa Valenzuela, Sami MacDonald, Grace McAnany, Siena Guzman-Newton, and Sarah Foster who dressed up as the aliens from Toy Story.
Mrs. Niebla said, “We actually started planning our costumes a while ago, so we usually start thinking about it no later than Labor Day. We take it really seriously and we joke about things saying ‘we should do that for Halloween’ all year, it’s a fun bonding experience.” So Halloween does give everyone a great opportunity to start bonding and get together to come up with something amazing. So do it. Dress up next year.
