Our female athlete of the week is Grace MacAnnany. She is a sophomore at Palisade High School. She has been playing volleyball for our school since her freshman year. Grace has been playing volleyball since her 7th grade year. Some of Grace’s outside of school hobbies are art, and hanging with friends and family. We asked Grace what her favorite part about volleyball is, “I just love the team and it is a really good team sport and working through with the team is always good.” We asked Grace what had gotten her into playing volleyball, “I kind of just decided to start playing it in middle school, my friends were playing it.” We wanted to know her opinion of the Palisades volleyball team and what she thought, “We have a really good program and really really supportive coaches that help push us and they are just really great. The team and the culture we have here is just different from any other school.” With the end of volleyball season we asked her what she learned this year, “I learned a lot about how to push through challenges and stuff. Obviously we had a pretty crazy season with a lot of our girls getting injuries and stuff we just had to work through like, different line ups and different people switching in and out and I don’t know just being flexible really.”
