Braeleigh MacAskill a sophomore at Palisade High School is the female athlete of the week. She plays three varsity sports here at Palisade, Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. Last year she represented Palisade Track at the state tournament as well as Playing in the state match as a freshman last year for volleyball. She continues exceeding expectations playing at state once again for your Lady Bulldog Volleyball team this year. Braeleigh played exceptionally well at the regionals tournament that took place this past weekend. During the Regional set she had 4 kills as a setter. MacAskill has a total of 28 kills, 22 blocks, 22 aces, 217 digs, and 219 assists so far this season. Braeleigh says “I'm really excited, we have had a rough season so far with injuries and sickness, but we have worked really hard toward the end of the season so far so I think were going to do really good.” Last weekend Braeleigh had an excellent weekend “I served really well, I have become more of a stabilizing player but this weekend I got some good sets and I started hitting really well” says MacAskill. We have seen this strong young lady grow from her freshman year to her sophomore year where she has slowly molded into a key player on the team. Braeleigh loves the team aspect that has been created this year. Cheer on your young lady bulldog as she goes through her sports this year. Also support your Lady Bulldog Volleyball team as they head to state this weekend.
