Last Thursday, Palisade High School held their annual Trick or Treat Street for local kids. Full of games and fun, the event brought in many people looking for a way to celebrate the spooky season this year. Ms. Wright, Palisade’s very own computer teacher who also runs FBLA on the side, says the Street was a major hit. FBLA- aka Future Business Leaders of America -held their traditional spooky corn maze in the computer room, and it was anything but a disappointment. “It was very successful, I always love to see staff bring their kids, which is adorable.” The little children had the option if they were too scared to enter the haunted corn maze to bypass the maze and play games in the backroom. Ms. Wright also wants to highlight other clubs’ events they set up including StuCo’s various games and says, “they had some pretty intense games including musical chairs which looked very fun.” But you can’t celebrate Halloween without the most important thing: candy. Everywhere you looked, candy was in every child’s bucket at Trick or Treat Street, and the kids loved it. Mallory Brownell, a freshman at Palisade, participated in the event and helped with the corn maze. “It was a blast, I loved hanging out with the kids and playing games with them in the back.” Overall, it was so fun to see the little kids who came by to play games and celebrate Halloween this year, and we hope they all had an amazing time celebrating the spooky season with us.
