With Halloween coming right around the corner and the fall season coming to an end, here are a few things you need to know. Be ready to win prizes for dressing up in Halloween costumes on Monday. If you and 4 or more other people dress up in the same theme, you can be nominated for the voting for best costumes. The winners of the vote get free lunch bought by Mr. Bollinger, Palisade's principal. There will also be a vote for the best teachers dressed up so make sure you vote for your favorite teachers.
There are also a few sporting events coming up this next week. On Halloween, the Palisade marching band has their state competition here in Grand Junction at Stocker Stadium. A volleyball tournament is also happening this week on Friday and Saturday in Soal Ridge. Lastly, our football team is having their last away game of the season on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Durango.
With the fall season ending in the next few weeks, the winter season is starting. The winter sports are boys and girls basketball and wrestling. There are open gyms for the next few weeks for boys' basketball and wrestling. Boys basketball is before school every Monday Wednesday and Friday morning. Boys wrestling is having open gyms every Tuesday and Thursday after school. For more information, you can contact Mrs.Young at the athletic window at the office. Remember to go support your sports teams and dress up for Halloween.
