The fall season has come to an end. With that, the Palisade cheer coach Liz Montez-Dasler chose outstanding cheerleaders for Cheer Hawaii. Cheer Hawaii is a cheer camp in Hawaii and a leadership program that has cheerleaders from all over U.S Highschools that were nominated by their coaches for being leaders on the cheer team and their community. When the coach of the palisade cheer team was asked about what Cheer Hawaii was she said. “Cheer Hawaii is a family that started putting together a cheer camp that kids could go to in Hawaii, I was able to nominate some students and they will get to go to Hawaii for a week and they will join a whole new team of 14 to 15 people from all over the U.S” Palisade had six nominees Alexa Talavera, Caitlyn Wesoski, Connor Moseley, Dakota Hatcher, Ellie Shirly, and Faith Padilla. All six got accepted to go to Hawaii and get the opportunity to take advantage of this amazing program. One of the student-athletes that got accepted Ellie Shirley said “I initially thought that it would be a good experience for individuals on the team to further their learning, knowledge, and skill set.” These cheerleaders are thrilled to go and expand their skillset in cheer. The only problem is the cost is $3,000 per person to go. if you would like to help there is a go fund me page to help support the student-athletes https://www.gofundme.com/f/these-studentathletes-go-to-hawaii?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1
