Our strong-willed and persistent Bulldogs’ soccer season is nearing an end, with a strong fight on our last home game on Saturday, October 15. Though our Dogs put their best effort in this very close game, they unfortunately did not quite score their victory against Central High School. With the season coming to its close, the team has begun to reflect on their year. “I felt that the team really came together and put the work in that was necessary, though we obviously didn’t come out with the result we wanted, that’s just the way soccer is and that’s why we all play it.” says sophomore Rowan Ferguson. Though our players have been faced with a couple defeats this season, they are continuously reflecting on their work, and always striving to improve for the next game. This season was more of a new beginning for our Bulldogs, with a new coach and new freshman players, but they persisted through the season and grew closer as a team. “Coming into this season, there was definitely a lot of mystery in what was to come…but with the team now, I’ve definitely seen improvement mentally and physically throughout, with good teamwork and friendship development. This sets us up well for seasons to come.” he states. With each year and season comes new challenges to overcome, but our Bulldogs will fight to grow not only as players but as people. Fantastic job to our soccer players this season, and good luck at your final game! Go Bulldogs!
