For the month of January, Palisade High School has chosen who deserves teacher of the month. With the most votes from the students, yearbook, comp 9, and honors comp 9 teacher, Ms. Martinez had won the first teacher of the month award for this year. This is her second award, with being awarded just last month and now this month. Ms. Martinez has worked in building for 8 years and has been dedicated to teaching for 7 years. Ms. Martinez had this to say about how she felt about the award and the school; “ I love the family and the community that’s at Palisade High School. I love that we feel like we are really bonded and I feel like my family is really here in the building, whether that’s with students or staff. It is a really big honor to get teacher of the month because I know that it is student chosen, so thinking that I have just freshmen I think that’s a really big honor because I don’t get a lot of sophomores, juniors, or seniors. I think that it’s really nice and fun that I have had the luck to have won teacher of the month two times in a row, and that I got to be the first teacher to get the opportunity of the new year. It’s exciting and fun, and I can not wait to see who the next voted teachers are.” Congratulations to Ms. Martinez for winning this month’s teacher of month and especially her second one in a row. Maybe she will continue a streak but let’s all be excited to see who the next is. So put in your votes when the time comes.
