SYMPHONIC BAND

This is a small, select group of advanced musicians. Instrumentation will be limited to one player on a part and is available only by audition. This course is designed to further the students' knowledge and skill levels acquired in previous band experiences. Strong emphasis will be placed on the development of individual skills. Further, this class will focus on the fundamental knowledge of music theory and music history necessary for individual development as a musician. Rehearsals, performances, and travel outside of class will be a part of this course and are required as part of the grade. This band performs at concerts and festivals.
