Create Your Own Society

Directions: You have learned a lot about how society worked for the Ancient Romans. You learned about politics, economics, culture, and many others things that made up the society. You are going to create your own society from the beginning. You will complete your work on a Google Document for each category.

Steps (Complete all work in your notebook):

Day 1:

1) Break into groups.

2) Discuss the basics of your society: peaceful, warriors, mountains, water, etc. Decide on a name for your society.

Day 2:

1) Write a story that explains the name of your society. This might be written like a myth or legend. Check out Mr. Lentner's example:

Day 3:

1) Add a new section to your Google Doc titled "Society Politics". In this section you are going to write down at least 10 rules that must be followed in your society. Also include how leaders will be chosen.

Day 4:

1) Add a section to your Google Doc titled "Society Economics". In this section, list at least 10 ways that people will make money. Discuss how the society will make and use money.

Day 5:

1) Add a section to your Google Doc titled "Society Culture". In this section, list the different things people will be doing for entertainment and things that will make the society special.

Day 6:

1) Using Google Draw, create a picture of your society. Include the different things that you completed in the steps above.
