Animal Classification

Directions: You are going to create a poster that displays information about the five main animal groups- mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and fish. You will divide your poster into five parts- one for each group. In each section, you will choose one animal from that group, draw a picture of it, and add facts about that group related to animal classification. For instance, your first box might be about mammals. You will choose a mammal, such as a giraffe, draw it, and list things such as- has a backbone, has live birth, drinks mother's milk, and other things like that.

Steps (Complete all work in your notebook):

1) Break into groups.

2) Decide on the five animals you will have on your poster.

3) Use your Unit 2 reader and a ChromeBook to write down facts about each of the five animals related to animal classification.

4) Divide your poster into five parts.

5) Draw pictures of each animal and write the facts around the animal.
