First Grade News
Our Cheyenne Mountain Zoo trip was a huge success, despite the wacky Colorado weather. Our little ones had a great time and the chaperones that joined us are CHAMPS! A huge shout out to them!
We are coming into our last month of first grade (cue the teacher tears)! I cannot believe that I have to say goodbye soon. Our end of year assessment day is Friday, May 3rd. Please use this link to sign up for a 20 minute time slot that is convenient for your family. If you have a conflict, please let me know ASAP and I will test your child during the week.
STEAM Family Night will be held on Wednesday, April 24th. There will be activities (science, technology, engineering, art and math) hosted by each grade level that you and your family can participate in. I hope to see you there! Grade levels are also putting together baskets for a silent auction. Go check them out, I hear there are some really amazing items to bid on! Thank you so much to those of you that donated! We truly appreciate you!
Morning Arrival
Students can enter the building starting at 8:15. They will independently walk down to class - Room 7. There will be lots of adults in the hallways to monitor and help students.
Afternoon Dismissal
Students should know their end of day routine (parent pick-up, bus rider, Base49). Parent pick-up kiddos will walk to Bulldog Island where they will wait for you.
You can help your child by discussing your family's morning and pick up routine together. The more they know, the more comfortable they will be! They should also know where their lunches (or if they are having school lunch), water bottles and snacks are located in their backpacks.
