For this project, you are going to create a tall building out of construction paper.  Your building must have windows in the shape of an array.  

Here are the steps to follow:

1) Do a practice drawing of your building in your notebook.

2) Create your building out of construction paper.  Take your time. Make everything neat, colorful and organized.

3) At the bottom of your building, include the following:

• Number of rows and windows in each row

• The addition sentence for the total

• The multiplication sentence for the total.

For this example to the right, it would look like this:

• 6 rows of 3 windows

• 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 18

• 6 x 3 = 18
