Hello and welcome to our fifth grade classroom! I am so excited to have you in our class. We will have lots of fun learning new & exciting things! 

My Educational Background

Growing up, I attended school in Galena, Illinois. I went to college at Trinity International University where I graduated with my Elementary Education degree. After I graduated, I started my career as a sixth grade Language Arts teacher in Marengo, IL.  I taught in Marengo for the last 8 years.  I taught fourth grade for 1 year. Then 5-8th grade Language Arts for 6 years. I love to read and I hope by the end of the school year I will pass that enthusiasm onto you!

All About Me

I grew up in a blended family where I was 1 of 6 kids. I have always loved helping people and working with children. After college I moved to Marengo in 2013 and started my teaching career. I have 4 children. Kynlee (10), William (8), Luther (6), and Ryder (4). I just bought my first home in Crystal Lake and spent the summer renovating. Along our adventures in fifth grade, I can’t wait to get to know you and learn about your family, too!
