Welcome to 3rd grade at Prairieview! My name is Ms. Wollberg and I am so excited to be your teacher this year. We are going to have so much FUN throughout the course of the school year and of course, we will LEARN a lot too! Along the way, we may encounter some twists and turns. Our path may not always be clear and easy but with perseverance, teamwork, and hard work, I'm confident that together, we will be able to tackle any obstacle that comes our way. About me
Welcome to 3rd Grade! My name is Ms. Wollberg. I have been teaching for 25 years. I have degrees in elementary education and special education along with a master's degree in teacher leadership.
I grew up in Mundelein and have remained in the area where I live with my family. Kenxie is a junior in high school, Lexie is a freshman in college and my son, Xander, is in his last year of college. We also have a mini Bernedoodle, Buckley, who will be turning 2 in October. He's ALL puppy and keeps me on my toes!
Xander is majoring in Computer Science and keeps active playing soccer for MSOE's club team and enjoys participating in numerous clubs with his favorite being Competitive Computing Club. Lexie is majoring in Rehabilitation Science as she wants to become a Physical Therapist. She is also a gymnast and will be competing for UW-Eau Claire this year. Kenxie plays softball, volleyball and does gymnastics at Mundelein High School so the majority of my afternoons are spent cheering them on from the sidelines (or from behind the live stream feed), taking Buckley for walks, getting in a workout at Orangetheory and squeezing in a healthy dinner (I love cooking and baking!). In the evenings, popcorn and movie nights are a favorite of mine but I also enjoy a refreshing bowl of ice cream. My current obsession is making homemade ice cream...so yummy! Now that my kids are older, it's hard to find time when everyone is free but we do make time every summer for a family vacation. Xander made a goal to visit all 50 states...he only has North Dakota to go :)
I'm looking forward to a wonderful school year and all the unforgettable memories that will be made this year in 3rd grade!
