Here you will find links to downloads of things that were sent home (and you need again), as well as other resources I think you might find helpful.
On the first day you will get an 8 1/2 x 14 in. banner to bring home to create, letting us know all about you, that you can turn in anytime by Labor Day. Include your name, photos, drawings, your favorites, whatever you’d like to share with the class. You will also get an All About Me bag to put in show & tell items.
Monthly Homework packets
Homework for 2nd grade is expected to be 20 minutes each night. At our school, 2nd grade all has the same homework. Students are expected to complete the Monthly Calendar (above) and return by the due date listed.
Homework Choices:
1. Reading books at home, library books, or online (RAZ Kids or Scholastic Literacy Pro)
2. activity from monthly READO
3. a writing prompt from the monthly writing calendar
4. practice online with a classroom math site
5. practice math fact fixers or do a math game
6. finish Seesaw or Google Classroom work
Some of the activities may take your child only about a minute so the rest of time to fill the 20 minutes should either be practicing their Math Fact Fixers or math facts with the card games below. If your child is a pro with their facts then they should read for the rest of the time. If your child has misplaced any of these homework items, you can redownload them here. :)
