Welcome to 1st Grade!

Background:

• I received a bachelors in Elementary Education from Illinois State University.

• I have my ESL (English as a Second Language) Endorsement from Northern Illinois University (NIU).

• I earned a Masters in Literacy Education in 2015 from NIU.

Experience:

• This is my second year back at Hiawatha after taking 5 years off to raise my sons. This is my tenth year of teaching and my second year in 1^st grade. I have had experience teaching second and fourth grade here at Hiawatha prior to staying home.

• While staying at home, I also had the opportunity to work as a preschool teacher at ABC preschool in Sycamore.

More About Me:

• I have two sons, Cole and Hunter. Cole is in 3rd grade and Hunter is in 1st grade.

• My family spends a lot of time watching and playing sports! This past summer we spent a lot of time watching our sons play baseball and soccer.

• I love animals! We have one dog, Miley, who is nine years old. I also love horses and spending time riding with my mom.

• My family and I love the Cubs!
