Science Olympiad is a national organization that allows students to compete in assigned events. Students will prepare for and compete in study and/or build events. Only 15 students will be selected to compete at the regional the Spring, based on seniority, past performance, and participation (in that order). The goal is to foster scientific curiosity and build community. Science Olympiad members work as a team with a partner for every event to build science knowledge. We are adopting the high school model this year to help transition students and encourage them to continue on in the organization. The club is student-led by veteran members, with a faculty member that serves as a guide or resource. Though preparation for events is time-consuming and academically demanding, the experience can be very rewarding.
Consistent Attendance & Communication with partners is expected.
