PSAT/NMSQT
PSAT/NMSQT
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is a standardized test offered by the College Board each October. The exam is primarily intended for juniors, but sophomores who would like to experience standardized testing may take it as well. Students may take the exam as a sophomore and then again as a junior. The PSAT/NMSQT measures skills important for college success. It is also instrumental in preparing students for the SAT and other standardized tests. Scores are used by scholarship programs, including the National Merit Scholarship Program, to look for eligible students. Only juniors will qualify for scholarship programs.
The PSAT/NMSQT is for 10th and 11th graders. We will notify you if Niles West will be administering it.
This exam is district sponsored and for District 219 students ONLY. We do not have the capacity to administer it for students that are homeschooled or are part of other school districts.
To see your scores, log in to your College Board account. If you don't have one, you will need to create one using your legal name, and put Niles Township West High School as your current school.
