from Mr. Stade, Band Director
Hello Simmons Band, I'm excited to be entering my 29th year of teaching and 24th year at Simmons Middle School. Like most of you I joined band in the fifth grade. I played the trombone in the fifth grade, middle school, and high school bands of my home town in the Chicago suburbs. I continued playing trombone at Northern Illinois University and got exposed to the other band and string instruments while I earned my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music Education. I've always wanted to and felt called to work with kids and music has always been my strength and passion. For those reasons, I enjoy coming to Simmons and making music with each and everyone of you everyday. We have some great music and performances lined up for this school year. We are going to have an awesome year together!! Also this site is in the works, so more to come.
