Theatre: Special Projects
This course is intended to serve as a Capstone Course in the Senior Year for BFA students in Design, Production and Stage Management. Unlike other practicum courses, Theatre: Special Projects is not based strictly on the number of hours a student puts into the production, but is intended to serve as a culmination of the student's work at the end of their academic career, including a portfolio display in the lobby concurrent with the run of the show. All design, production and management positions for this course are arranged through the faculty.
Current positions available in the UMD Theatre 2020-2021 season.
Job titles that qualify for Theatre: Special Projects credit include, but are not necessarily restricted to:
Assistant Director
Assistant Costume Designer

Assistant Sound Designer

Due to the unique demands of each UMD Theatre & Stage 2 production, students interested in enrolling in TH 4399 Theatre: Special Projects must first arrange specific duties with faculty before seeking permission to enroll in the course.
