BULLDOG CHORAL FESTIVAL (January 29: choirs for SA and TB voices, grades 7-12)

This year's Bulldog Choral Festival will occur on Monday, January 29, 2024

8:30am-3:30pm (8:00am registration), with a 4:00pm concert

This festival provides your middle and senior level school singers (grades 7-12) a truly unique experience, exploring repertoire for like-voice ensembles (higher voice/soprano-alto and lower voice/tenor-bass). The Bulldog Choral Festival is a great opportunity for students that love to sing!

The choirs will sing one selection as a combined SATB chorus directed by Angela Mitchell

While this festival does not have a formal audition, students are asked to prepare repertoire in advance, so that they are ready for a great day of singing!

Fees: $25 per student (cost includes a festival t-shirt, access to part recordings, and a recording of the concert). A student pizza buffet is available for an additional cost. Participating directors receive a free luncheon at no charge.

Important Deadlines and Key Information:

We invite each director to nominate four trios of singers, two SA and two TB. If you do not have balanced trio, no problem, please go ahead and nominate deserving students and we will notify you of their acceptance.
Since this is a 7-12 festival, your nominated singers may be middle school only, high school only, or a mix of both depending on your teaching duties.

The deadline to nominate students is Thursday, December 14.
If you wish to nominate more than twelve students, send your request to Chris Fettig, In order to ensure all interested schools can participate, such requests for additional nominations will be considered after the nomination deadline (Dec 14).
Payment is due on Monday, January 29, the day of the festival.

This festival provides your dedicated high school singers (grades 9-12) with a day of choral singing, focusing on experiencing great repertoire and developing vocal artistry and technique. This festival is designed for students who have a passion for choir, or who are considering a music major in college.
