Driving the local, national, and global business community are trailblazers who push boundaries, take risks, and think beyond what could be. Armed with a commitment to elevate the education of new trailblazers, the Labovitz School of Business and Economics, LSBE, has identified the need for a Sales Center to house our program in professional sales.
Our Sales Center will create future sales leaders through targeted education, effective research, and dynamic experiential opportunities. The skills learned through the Sales Center will allow students to be well-prepared to contribute to the sales profession.
The trajectory for professional sales jobs and the need for professional sales people are both forecast to increase over the coming years. Sales professionals are vital for businesses to succeed, especially in today’s competitive environment.
With the specialized preparation that the LSBE Sales Program will afford, our graduates will have shorter on-boarding times as new employees, thereby quickly becoming productive and proficient business assets for companies.
LSBE is well positioned to solve these industry concerns. The creation of the Sales Center at LSBE will ensure the program identifies students with a passion and aptitude for sales careers. Our innovative and connected faculty, who keep up with industry standards, will share best practices, teach applied business principles, and advocate for and advance the art and science of professional selling. The Sales Center will serve as a hub for students, faculty, and industry professionals to build a world-class Sales Program at LSBE.
The Student Experience
Students will gain sales knowledge from a variety of venues, such as specialized sales classes and curriculum, internships, competitions, conferences, company tours, and mentors. Everything the student learns in the LSBE Sales Center will be highly transferable across industries and can be applied to public companies and nonprofits and for business-to-business, business-to-consumer, and other business models.
Not only will the students gain a strong foundation in selling, they will learn many fine points along with the soft skills of teamwork, communication, problem solving, work ethic, and adaptability. Soft skills are especially needed in sales due to heavy customer interaction.
