Please save the date for a dynamic, two-night community conversation around interprofessional approaches to postpartum mental health. The dates are September 9 and 10, 6pm, in the Fourth Floor Rotunda at the University of Minnesota Kathryn Martin Library.  You need not attend both;  come as you can to participate with your unique perspective and to learn about other perspectives.

In this two-night series, you can help create community-based, interprofessional solutions. 

• On Night 1, September 9, we will host a presentation on the Minnesota Maternal Mortality Report with representatives from the Minnesota Department of Health, a lived experience panel, and moderated table discussions, followed by Q&A. 

• On Night 2, September 10, we will hear about innovations in postpartum mental health from multidisciplinary professionals. This will be followed by an interactive, generative, moderated session focusing on visioning solutions that work. 

We have engaged with a wide variety of community professionals for this series. These include but are not limited to: doulas and birthworkers, midwives, medical professionals, mental health therapists and psychologists, psychiatry providers, early childhood educators, public health staff, university faculty, social services and nonprofit agencies, and more! 

After the event, UMD students will create a resource guide.
