Who Is Cyd
Cyd L. (Makanui) Hoffeld is a kanaka ʻōiwi who has spent 40 years rooted in the communities of Hawaiian Paradise Park, Pāhoa, Hawaiian Beaches, Nānāwale, Leilani, Seaview, and Kalapana. As a health care professional, youth advocate, and community leader, she has spent her career building the bridges that District 4 families depend on. She's not running to start doing this work — she's running to keep doing it, with a seat at the table.
District 4 residents deserve roads and infrastructure that work. Cyd will push for real solutions to the traffic and road conditions that slow down our mornings, our evenings, and our lives.
After 26 years connecting Puna families to health care, Cyd knows where the gaps are — and how to close them. She'll advocate for expanded access, rural health services, and care that meets people where they are.
Cyd has watched District 4 change over four decades. She'll fight for the conditions that let local families stay, thrive, and belong — not just survive.
Cyd's campaign runs on people power — neighbors helping neighbors. Every volunteer hour, every donation, and every yard sign makes a difference.
