Universal Design for Learning
Universal Design for Learning (or UDL) is a framework to help guide the way in which instruction is constructed and delivered. The framework exists under the pretense that any one class of learners is going to vary in terms of learning style, familiarity with the content, talents, and abilities. By applying principles of UDL to our instruction, we can better serve all of our learners and make our learning environments places in which our students feel supported and safe to fail. The videos below introduce some of these concepts and provide advice on how you can better achieve a UDL approach in your own instruction.
