~The Fall Trimester will run for 7 weeks from October 1st - November 16th
~Each club will run from dismissal until the 4:05 late bus (3:05 on Tuesdays)
~Each Club meets weekly. Students are welcome to sign-up for more than one club
~Enrollment space is limited. Clubs will be filled on a first-come first-serve basis
Come learn basic sign language through fun lessons, games and songs. No experience necessary! Recommended for students in grades 3-8.
Have you ever scratched your name onto a surface? Did you know you can make art this way? In this lesson, explore a creative process known as scratch board art and learn about tools used to do it. Recommended for students in grade 3-8.
B.U.N.N.Y. is the Bunny Understanding and Nurturing Network for Youth. Have or want a bunny? Try B.U.N.N.Y! Love bunnies? Try B.U.N.N.Y! Come join the network! This club will be co-run by the founding student and a teacher. Recommended for students in grades 5-8.
Yoga and Mindfulness
All 4th-8th grade students are welcome to join us for peace, love, and yoga! Classes will combine mindfulness, yoga poses, group games, and breathing/relaxation. Yoga and mindfulness practice can reduce stress, build strength and flexibility, and help provide tools for emotional regulation. Class will be taught by a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher. Recommended for students in grades 4-8.
Do you like to write, make comics, take photographs, or interview people? Come have fun with us on Thursday afternoons as we create issues of SCS Breaking News, the student-written newspaper that keeps SCS informed of what's going on. This is a great chance for you to use your skills, flex those writing muscles, and be part of a team of creative people! Recommended for students in grades 3-8.
