Donordrive and sending out THONvelopes is our most successful fundraiser and we ask for participation from every one of our committee members.
Donordrive is helpful to us for two different reasons- it is where our committee members register for Mini-THON and it is a great platform to fundraise money on.
THONvelopes are letters that committee members send to friends and family telling them information about CV Mini-THON, and asking them if they would like to make a donation. They are very helpful to us because they help spread awareness and get more people involved in our cause.
We are trying to streamline this process so we can really be there to help make sure this is done in a successful way. We are asking you to attend one after school meeting. As you come to that meeting you will have a few things to bring. We will help organize everything and give directions in detail at each of the meetings but we need your help to be prepared for your meeting with a few things.
Think of at least 8 people that you wish to send THONvelopes to. These can be family or friends, and should be people that you think will donate. Do NOT send to friends in the school or other committee members. Gather their names and addresses.
Go here: Address Form. You need to be logged into your cvsdstudents account to access it. Enter the names and addresses of those 8 people, for our records. There are two optional spots in case you wish to send up to two more THONvelopes out. You will receive an email back after you fill out the form - save that email, as you will need those addresses for your in person meeting.
Print out one THONveloping Letter (click the link) for each person you plan on sending it to (8 minimum). If you need to print at school, use the library printers.
Gather one #10 envelope per THONveloping letter that you printed (8 minimum). #10 envelopes measure 4 1/8 inches high by 9 1/2 inches long. They can be found at any grocery store, office supply store, or even the dollar store if you do not have any of your own.
Gather at least 10 forever postage stamps. You can find postage stamps at your local post office or you can buy a book of them at most grocery stores. Postage costs money, so we need donations of postage stamps in order to send your THONvelopes out and in order to send Thank You notes to our donors. If you wish to donate more than 10, we would appreciate it!
Do not write on your THONvelopes or your envelopes. We will take care of that at your meeting.
Note: If you cannot print THONveloping letters or if you cannot gather envelopes, we have a limited number of both available at your meeting. Do your best to print out the letters and gather the envelopes.
Teach you how we fill out the Thonveloping letter so it is standardized amongst the committee members
Refresh your memory on how to fill out the envelope and tell you what to put in the return address spot.
Spend the time personalizing your donordrive page (Personalized donordrive pages make more money than the generic page!!!!!!)
