Welcome to the Hoover Library Media Center Google Site!

We are so pleased to interact with your child at the Hoover LMC. For all of our students, we strive to promote a love of literacy within a culture of caring.

Please access the tabs at the top right of the site for a showcase of the 2020-21 Young Hoosier Book Award-winning books with links to digital author interviews and trailers and updated information about our fall online Scholastic Book Fair.

Library lessons are accessible for each grade by clicking on the 4th Grade and 5th Grade tabs in the upper right corner of the banner above. Each lesson is organized by week and mirrors what we are doing in the physical classroom during the same week, or serves as digital lessons in a remote learning setting. Each lesson features a light library curriculum lesson with related activity sheets. The sheets can be saved to a device by right-clicking on it, and then saving them to your computer. You can then upload them into a Paint program or a similar program to complete them or you can print them out. If you decide to upload or import it into a program like Paint or 3-D Paint, it is usually already installed on a PC. For Apple devices, the program is called Paintbrush and is free as an online download. If you are working on tablets or smart phones, you can import the sheets into an app. A free app for PCs is Microsoft Paint, and a free app that works with IPads or IPhones is Whiteboard: Just Draw Together. Enjoy!
