Qualifications:
· Utility:
o High school graduate minimum.
o College and/or continued education in a technical field a plus.
o Experience related to construction or power equipment service and repair is required.
· Trainee:
o A High School diploma is required.
o Enrollment in a recognized HVAC Tech school is preferred but not required.
o One - Two years of experience in the electrical, mechanical, or automotive field is preferred but not required.
o One-Two years of experience working with hand, battery, and air tools.
o Basic computer skills.
· Standard Technician:
o High School diploma.
o A two-year degree from a recognized HVAC Tech School.
o EPA Universal Certification.
o York, Carrier, or Trane Factory trained on Air cooled Chillers 30 ton – 500 ton.
o Able to read electrical schematics.
o Ability to organize work and meet deadlines.
o Strong verbal and written communication.
o Able to identify components in advanced refrigeration circuits.
o Understand how each component works.
o Able to diagnose and correct problems in refrigeration circuits.
o Understand the manifold gauge set.
o Understands refrigeration recovery, evacuation, and charging.
o Understands the installation and sizing of refrigerant piping.
· Lead Technician:
o High School diploma. A two-year degree from a recognized HVAC Tech School.
o Five-Ten years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
o Experience in a supervisory role of other technicians.
o EPA Universal Certification.
o York, Carrier, or Trane Factory trained on Air-cooled Chillers 30 ton – 500 ton.
o Able to read electrical schematics.
o Ability to organize work and meet deadlines.
o Strong verbal and written communication.
o Able to identify components in advanced refrigeration circuits.
