Hello families,

I've heard from a lot of parents and I know this is all fairly confusing/new. Since this is our reality right now, please take the extra time to familiarize yourself with Google Classroom. I found two really good videos, hopefully this helps!

**URGENT UPDATE**

Hello everyone!

It looks like we might be out of school for a while, but the learning doesn't stop! Here are some quick updates about how your Resource period will work. Please know that all teachers are working hard to set up an online learning environment, be patient, and give us time.

Classwork/Homework

• Depending on how long this lasts, there might be a few assignments. Quarter Contract, Action Plan, etc.
• There will be some required work on IEP goals, my students know exactly what this means.

Getting Help

• If you need help with your classwork from your other classes you have a few options-

1. Email me at: nsutton@cv.k12.ca.us

• Tell me what problem(s) and/or worksheets you need help with.

2. Video call / Text through Google Hangouts

• I can try to help you over video or text!
• Open the Google Hangouts app on your phone or Chromebook and add me nsutton@cv.k12.ca.us
• Between 9am - 3pm only please.

Services / Accommodations

• I will provide all of my services using online modes only, no in person meetings until further notice
• All students with an IEP will continue to receive the Accommodations in their IEP.
  • For example, if you have extra time on tests, quizzes, or allowed to turn things in late without penalty, you (your student) will still get this accommodation!
• If you feel that you are not receiving an Accommodation that is in your IEP, please let me know and I'll get that taken care of.
• I'll be working closely with general education teachers to help facilitate accommodations and any modifications required.

Future IEP's

• Most IEP's at this point are canceled and will be rescheduled. Check your email for something from me about your student's upcoming IEP meeting.
