REMINDER: No Camp June 30 - July 4!

Drop off begins at 8:00am
Campers will be served a midmorning snack (provided by camp)
Water bottle
Extra snack (one small snack will be provided for each child; if your child tends to get very hungry mid-morning, you may pack extra snacks)
Wear camp shirt on Fridays (to be given to your child)
Drop Off: Vehicles park in the Lower School parking lot and campers are escorted to camp check in at the Lower School gym.
Pick Up: Parents may pull into the pick up line and follow the line of cars or park and walk up the Lower School gym to collect their child.
Campers will be dropped off and picked up at the Lower School gym.
If students are attending the afternoon Camp Beech Creek, they will be transported to lunch by one of the counselors.

Stephanie Johnson
Director
Stephanie Johnson is the Director of Reading and Writing Intensives at Currey Ingram Academy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Political Science from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Education in Instructional Practice from Lipscomb University. Currently, she is pursuing her BCBA certification through Vanderbilt University. Stephanie began her teaching career as a Teach For America corps member in 2013 and has since held a range of roles in charter, public, and private school settings. She joined the Currey Ingram faculty in January 2021.
Beginning Readers
Lindsay Moates
Lindsay Moates is a Lower School second-grade teacher at Currey Ingram Academy. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Lindsay has experience teaching in both public and private school settings, including Metro Nashville Public Schools.
Makaila Offutt
Mrs. Makaila Offutt has been teaching English at Currey Ingram Academy’s Upper School since October of 2023. Mrs. Offutt holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Writing from Lipscomb University, a Master of Arts in Education from Murray State University, and a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of Kentucky. Currently, she is working on her Doctor of Education in Technology and Instructional Design at Liberty University. Since beginning her teaching career in 2016, she has taught English as well as reading and writing lab courses.

Jill Omer
Jill Omer is a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Lower School at Currey Ingram Academy. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Education from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Memphis. She began her career over twenty years ago as a therapist at Vanderbilt University's Child Language Intervention Program and has worked in a variety of school and private practice settings, including the Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD) at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She also served as Speech, Language, & Autism Coordinator for the Tennessee Department of Education. She joined the Currey Ingram faculty in January 2022.
Ashlyn Pierce
Ashlyn Pierce is a third-grade teacher in the Lower School at Currey Ingram Academy. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and a Master of Education in Literacy from the American College of Education. Ashlyn began her teaching career in 2016 and has experience supporting young learners in a variety of educational settings. She joined the Currey Ingram faculty in 2023.

Amanda Slater
Amanda Slater earned a Master's Degree in education from Longwood College in Farmville, VA. She home schooled her two children with dyslexia until they graduated high school. While homeschooling she taught a high school English class and coached Destination Imagination and Science Olympiad. After homeschooling, she worked as a special education teacher in Wilson County Public Schools for 3 years. She currently works at Currey Ingram Academy as an upper school math teacher.
Lori Woods
Lori Woods is an English and Writing Lab Instructor in the Upper School at Currey Ingram Academy. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Christopher Newport University and a Master of Education degree with a Literacy Concentration from Old Dominion University. She also holds an Ed.S. in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from George Washington University. She began her teaching career in public schools in 2004 and has since served in a variety of roles in community colleges and public and private schools. She joined the Currey Ingram faculty in August 2020
