PROCESS FOR 

ENGLISH TEACHERS

Working in a Cultura Inglesa Partner School

Cultura Inglesa for Schools selects teachers to our Partner Schools in Belo Horizonte and other cities in Minas Gerais every year.  Our Partner Schools are the employers, but Cultura Inglesa provides exclusive academic support to their English teachers involved in our projects.

The minimum requisites to all of our partner schools are having upper intermediate level of English (B2) and:

Having experience as a teacher is a plus, as well as holding international certificates such as FCE, CAE, CPE, TKT and CELTA.

Cultura Inglesa will ask all applicants to provide copies of their certificates and education diplomas as stated in the CV in the application form. If you are a foreigner, please note that all foreign teachers must have a valid working visa to be hired by our partner schools.

All online application forms received are assessed by our coordinators. Once a selection process to any of our partner schools is open, applicants that fulfill their minimum requisites will be invited to take part.

SELECTION PROCESS

ONLINE ENGLISH TEST

The first stage of the selection process is an online English Test. 

The time limit to take the test is two hours, and applicants that are invited to take a selection process will receive an invitation with all the information to take it. 

ONLINE INTERVIEW

All applicants that pass the test will receive an invitation via email to schedule an Interview in English with one of our Coordinators. 

ONLINE INDUCTION DAY

On the Induction Day applicants will engage in a series of activities related to approaches to teaching English as a Foreign Language.

MICROTEACHING

In the Microteaching stage, applicants will have the opportunity to show their teaching abilities in a simulated lesson. Materials and instructions for the Microteaching stage will be given on the Induction Day. Coordinators and sometimes Headmasters of our partner schools are invited to observe applicants in the Microteaching. The Microteaching MAY be online OR face-to-face.

RESULTS

The results to all applicants that finish each stage. Cultura Inglesa informs applicants whether they have passed the selection process, but under no circumstances will Cultura Inglesa give specific feedback on any of the stages of the selection process.

Cultura Inglesa sends all the selection process results to our partner schools and they contact successful teachers directly whenever they have a position. Positions are open according to demand, which means successful applicants may not be hired immediately. In that case, they are still eligible for a position in the following term.
