Tryouts clinic days will be held May 22nd - 23rd from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Tryouts will be May 24th starting at 5:30pm. Please make sure you have a current physical to submit to Athletic Clearance.

Tryout Schedule 

** You will learn the tryout dance and cheer before the clinics. We will not be teaching those at the clinics we will only be reviewing them. You can find the 24-25 tryout cheer and dance here. Tryout Material 


Clinic Day 1- Athletes will be evaluated on their tumbling skills.  As a reminder- tumbling is not a requirement to make either Varsity or Junior Varsity.  Interested athletes will also review the tryout dance, and cheer. Athletes will have about 25 minutes of stunting time. 


Clinic Day 2- Athletes will learn the fight song. Athletes will have about 30 minuets of stunting time. Athletes will be evaluated on stunting. We want to see the highest cleanest skills.  Athletes will also be reviewing their tryout material (Dance, fight song, and cheer).  

Tryout Day- Athletes will try out in groups and be required to perform the material taught at the clinic on Tuesday-Wednesday. Dress for the tryouts will consist of white shirt, navy shorts or dance pants, white socks, white tennis shoes or any color dance shoes, hair up, no jewelry (this includes body piercings), and no gum. BHS dress code will be enforced - no spaghetti straps, no bra straps showing, no midriffs, no short-shorts.  (Clothing should be plain with no pictures or slogans of any kind).

Cheer Gear Package

Each athlete will be asked to donated the necessary funds to purchase gameday gear, camp gear, and UCA Cheer Camp.  Some prices may vary depending on what gear athletes have already purchased through the Sideline Program in years past.

UCA Summer Camp 7/19-7/21

UCA summer camp will be at the Santa Clara Hyatt Hotel

Funds for this camp will need to be donated to the Sideline Account by May 25th to secure your spot.  Please screenshot proof of payment and email screenshot receipt to vraineri@cuhsd.org
