  1. ENHANCED OIL RECOVERY TECHNIQUES (PME 423)

The theoretical and design aspects of enhanced oil recovery methods as practiced in fields. This course includes EOR screening criteria, Displacement mechanisms of fluids in reservoir, Water flooding, Chemical flooding, Thermal recovery process.


Lab Courses:

  2. ROCK MECHANICS LABORATORY (PME 262)

This course includes Uni-Axial and Tri-Axial stress-strain measurement, Study creep behavior of rock, Determination of rebound number(Rh), In-situ pressure measurement.

  1. DRILLING ENGINEERING LABORATORY (PME 316)

This course includes API recommended diagnostic tests of drilling fluids: Mud balance test, Marsh Funnel viscosity test, Mud rheology test, Standard API filtration test, Resistivity determination, pH determination, Alkalinity determination, Chloride concentration determination, Water Hardness determination, Sand content analysis, Mud retort test and other chemical analyses.

Rig Floor Simulator: Simulator for drilling operations that virtually resembles the drilling rig floor.
