Biography:

Rashad Yaqoob Shamoon Al Shaaya was born in 1989 in Bartella, Nineveh province in Iraq. He holds the degree of BA. in English language from English Dept, College of Arts, Mosul University in 2012. After graduation, he taught English language at some international schools. Then he got his MA in Applied Linguistics from the Dept. of Modern Languages and Communication, University Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia, 2015. During his stay at Putra University, he was elected as one of the representatives of the Iraqi students’ club in 2013-2015.

In January 2017, he joined the Catholic University of Erbil where he has been working as an assistant lecturer at the English Department in addition to teaching the English language to all majors. He takes part in some English courses for the community arranged by the university.
