ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Ashley Lawson and I am continuing my career as a school counselor for the third year. I grew up in Cartersville, Virginia and attended Cumberland County Public Schools graduating from CHS in 2005. In May 2010, I graduated from Bridgewater College with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. In May 2016, I graduated from Longwood University with a Masters Degree in Counselor Education (School & Mental Health Counseling). In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing sports, the outdoors, shopping and being with friends and family. I am currently a Resident in Counseling to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as approved by the Virginia Board of Counseling. I strongly believe in advocating for my students. It is my goal to assist students in acquiring the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to become life-long learners and responsible citizens.
