The Fibonacci Sequence and the Golden Ratio

This activity has two parts: Activity 2.1 (My Face Ratios) and Activity 2.2 (The Fibonacci Sequence).

Activity 2.1

1. Watch this video.

2. Download and do Activity 2.1.

3. Fill-out the activity sheet with your answers.

4. Convert to pdf and rename to the format "activity2_1_<family_name>".

5. Submit answer into the Submission Form for your class.

Activity 2.2

1. Open the Submission Form for your Class. Go to bit.ly/jdselle > Classes and look for your class' webpage.

2. Find Activity 2.2 and follow the link.

3. Answer the questions.

4. After submitting your answers, take a screenshot of the confirmation message and upload it to the Submission Form.

Activity 2.1 is worth a total of 30 points.

• Each box in the table in Question No. 1 is worth 1 point: 1pt for each correctly filled box, 0pt for each unfilled or incorrectly filled box (subtotal: 6 points);

• Each box in the table in Question No. 2 is worth 2 points: 2pt if computation is correct; 1pt if computation is incorrect; 0pt if box is unfilled; (subtotal: 18 points);

• Question No. 3 is worth 2 points: 2pt if correctly answered; 1pt if incorrectly answered; 0pt if unanswered;

• Question No. 4 is worth 4 points: 4pt if question is answered and sufficient justification is given; 2-3pt if question is answered but reasoning is insufficient or unconvincing; 1pt if no reasoning is given; 0pt if no answer.

Activity 2.2 is worth 20 points

• Each question in Part A is worth 1 point (x5 questions).

• Each correct answer in Part B is worth 1 point (x3 questions). Each correct solution is worth 4 points (x3 questions).

The average percentage score from Activity 2.1 and 2.2 will be your score for Activity 2.
