VFW Post 4608

VFW Post 4608 is providing a scholarship in the amount of $1000 again this year for a student from a military-affiliated family.    I have attached the policy and application to this email.    Our deadline for submission is April 10th.   Applications and essays can be emailed to me at ledyardvfw4608@gmail.com, or I can pick them up in person.  Once the award ceremony date/time is determined by your scholarship committee, please let me know so we can put it on our calendar. 

Eligibility:

• Any student who has either a sibling, parent, guardian, or grandparent who is serving or has served honorably in the armed services of the United States

• Junior or Senior who possesses commitment to a technical degree from Ella T. Grasso Technical High School and demonstrated strong leadership skills

• The student must have a "C" average or above

Essay:

On the occasion of our country’s 250th birthday, compare and/or contrast the influence of the Bill of Rights on our perceptions today.
