Term 4: Christmas Art Project

This term you will be creating a stained glass window painting, highlighting the nativity scene "The birth of Jesus". Think about who will be in your stained glass window. Stained glass windows are used in lots of churches in New Zealand and Overseas. They are used to tell a story. Stained glass windows come in lots of colours and the images are outlined in a thick black colour. In traditional stained glass, the black outline is made from lead.

Learning Intentions

I am learning to create a painted stained glass window in the theme of the nativity

Success Criteria

• I can include characters from the nativity - baby Jesus, Joseph, Mary, Three Wise Men, Angel Gabriel, Animals
• I can divide my images into segments to include the black outline
