E.C. Goodwin Technical High School's Extended Day program offers both academic and enrichment support. Make the Grade after-school program is designed to help students improve literacy and numeracy skills. Students can receive extra support in academic subjects from certified teachers.
The program is FREE to all Goodwin students and only requires a signed parent/guardian consent form. Submit the consent form entirely on the web via ParentSquare.
The program runs most Mondays and Wednesdays (see calendar) after school until 4:15pm. Students should report directly to the cafe after school.
Students will sign up online via ParentSquare starting during period one through 1pm. Students should try to sign up in advance, so we can accomodate their support needs.
Student dismissal is at 4:15pm, and students should make arrangements for timely pick up. If you are picking up a student early please send a note or call the main office. There are FREE CT Transit bus passes available to students in need of transportation, but we do not provide program busing. (Students and families can check the bus routes by using CT Transit Trip Planner).
Please Note: Hartford students ONLY may request Hartford school bus pickup by seeing the office assistant in the main office by 10am. Bus pick up MUST be requested by 10am to ensure transportation availability; students cannot be added after the bus is requested.
