It is recommended to have a regular subscription to at least 3-5 journal title in fisheries and related fields to meet the growing needs of students. Subscription to titles must be reserved to have continuity of current sources of information in the field under survey.
The administration should endeavor to give top priority for a regular and continuous acquisition of updated books to meet the deficit of book, titles/volumes.
Professional growth of the library personnel especially the non-library science graduates may be enhanced through regular and continuous participation in trainings and workshops.
Promotional services of the library is very important hence the librarian should have a digital media such as library website to bring services and resources together in a unique way because it is direct link between the library and its specific users.
The administration should procure additional standard sized furniture and equipment like tables, chairs, carrels for individual study, adjustable/movable shelves, and vertical file cabinet, charging desk, newspaper rack, dictionary stand, atlas stand, baggage counter, computers and CCTV.
The administration may hire one additional licensed librarian to meet the required number of qualified and licensed librarians and staff to meet the needs of the school population with the ratio of one (1) additional full time professional librarian with one (1) full staff for every additional 1,000 students.
