For Cross Country Merchandise
WELCOME
It is with great pleasure that I welcome students, teachers, parents and friends to the 2025 NSW Combined Catholic College (NSWCCC) and NSW Catholic Primary Schools (NSWCPS) Cross Country Championships.
Students from Catholic primary and secondary schools representing 12 diocese/associations from across New South Wales are competing today and the most successful of these competitors will have the honour of representing NSWCPS MacKillop/Polding at the NSWPSSA State Championships or NSWCCC or NSW All Schools State Championships. This is an outstanding achievement that recognises the great commitment and dedication of the 1800 students who have qualified for this event to be the very best they can be through hard work and training.
Thank you to the NSWCCC and NSWCPS Sports Councils for their detailed planning and organisation of the Championships. In particular, I acknowledge the dedication of Michael Vandervelde (Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College), Elizabeth Reakes (Catholic Schools Broken Bay), Wendy Breen and the Catholic Schools NSW Sport staff as the principal coordinators for today’s event.
Finally, thank you to all who have contributed to the success of these championships. An event such as this cannot go ahead without the support of the many principals, sports coordinators, teachers, parents and volunteers who have given their time to prepare our students for today.
I wish all competitors and officials a very successful and rewarding day.

CONVENORS’ MESSAGE
On behalf of NSWCCC & NSWCPS, it gives us great pleasure to welcome competitors, team managers, officials and spectators to the 2025 NSW Combined Catholic Colleges (NSWCCC) and NSW Catholic Primary Schools Cross Country Championships.
The Championship is part of the Catholic school sport representative pathway providing a selection trial for Polding, MacKillop and Combined Catholic Colleges teams to compete at the NSW All Schools State Cross Country Championships to be held at Sydney International Equestrian Centre on Tuesday, 22 July 2025.
We wish all competitors the best of luck today and at future events.
We acknowledge the Team Managers and school staff who have played a major role in team and event preparation, enabling students in Catholic schools the opportunity to represent their school communities in giving their best at higher levels of competition; your continued support of school sport provides a valuable contribution to all events.
Our thanks in particular to staff of Sydney International Equestrian Centre, Greg Darcy and Multisport, CSNSW Sport and all officials assisting today.
