GENERAL INFORMATION
SEATING
Limited seating is available in the Indoor Arena. Races will finish in the Indoor arena.
Spectators may access outdoor areas of the venue, however, all ‘no spectator’ signage must be complied with, and spectators must not interfere with course markings or inhibit or interfere with competitors in any way.
COACHING
Spectators, parents and coaches must not interfere with the conduct of events in any way. ‘Pacing’ by running alongside the course is not permitted and may lead to disqualification of a competitor. RUL
PROTEST
Protests must be lodged in writing to the Championship Convenor by the Team Manager within 10 minutes of the conclusion of the event. Any discrepancies in the displayed results must be lodged with the Championship Convenor by the Team Manager within 15 minutes of the results being announced / displayed.
RESULTS
Results will be available on 'results tab' and the Multisport website.
ATHLETE TRACKER
Use the embedded Athlete Tracker or download the app to track individual athletes.
LIVE STREAMING
The event will be live streamed by Sideline Sport. Details on how to access is available under the Live Streaming menu.
RULES/ NATURE OF CROSS COUNTRY RACING
Cross country events are not conducted in lanes, competitors need to be mindful of the position of other competitors.
The surface is often uneven and requires the competitor to adjust for the prevailing conditions to negotiate the course.
It is each competitor’s responsibility to follow course markings and to have familiarised themselves with the course through the ‘walk of the course’ (primary and Multiclass event athletes) and online virtual ‘walk the course’ (secondary athletes). Competitors must pass all required markers.
FOOTWEAR
All competitors must wear shoes. Spikes are NOT permitted as the track is not conducive to the wearing of spikes. Spike shoes with or without spikes, football boots, softball boots or cleats MAY NOT be worn. Rubber molded ‘waffle racer’ shoes may be worn in cross country events.
COMPETITORS
Competitors must have their Athlete Number clearly displayed on the front of their team shirt/singlet. No IPODS, IPHONES or similar devices to be utilised whilst competing.
Marshalling for each event will be 20 minutes prior to scheduled event time.
AGE GROUPS
Competitors must compete in their own age group (i.e. the age they turn this calendar year).
PHOTOS
Podium photos will be taken by a photographer engaged by CSNSW Sport. These photos will appear in the CSNSW Sport portal gallery in the following weeks after the event.
Action photos will be taken by INSTANT PHOTOS. These will only be available for purchase on the day. The Instant Photos sales van can be found outside the indoor arena with the event stalls.
SOUVENIR MERCHANDISE

Merchandise will be available for sale on the day – outside the indoor arena with the 'event stalls'. EFTPOS available.

STUDENT SAFETY
Parents/guardians are asked to be vigilant in ensuring their child’s safety. Students should be accompanied by an adult.
Anyone displaying cold and flu-like symptoms and feeling unwell should not attend the event.
Medical alert wristbands will be available from the Managers’ sign on for any competitor who may be running with a health issue/concern e.g. asthma etc.
Students suffering asthma who have reliever medication (e.g. Ventolin) as part of their Asthma Management Plan are advised to carry their ‘puffer’ with them. They are advised to seek attention at a checkpoint if they are suffering symptoms of asthma.
It will be the Team Managers’ responsibility to collect the required bands if required. They will be made available in your team packs at collection. Medical information is available from the registration download.
Pink wristbands are to be used for students with ‘no media’ permission.
FIRST AID
Medics Australia will be on-site as first aid providers. In the event a student is required to attend the first aid station, it is requested a team manager or parent accompanies the student. Only Medics Australia management are to call an ambulance or additional emergency/medical services.
A triage tent will be on the track near the finish line and located roaming around the course. More serious cases will be taken to the Medics Tent located at the entrance of the Indoor Arena.
