October Perfection
As bulbs lay rest in the ground.
With the dirt and organic matter around.
October becomes the month of perfection sought.
Mensis Octobris just a distant old Roman thought
Winterflyth
Once been callth.
But to botany thoughts,
October ‘tis the month of bulbs sought.
Look around
One cannot see they are in the ground.
This week has become a blustery, bothersome, bumble of unprepared weather. 80 degrees and now 32, the bobber is bouncing around! Goodness. Drop and roll, plant those bulbs. Read those instructions, watch the video, but mostly soak, dig, insert in an arrangement, cover with soil and mulch. The newest trick to use is to get the mulch wet and let it freeze a layer of protective warmth. Leaves make for good mulch. Dream of walking through the fields or taking beautiful photos of next Spring, while finding a fleece throw or large sweater to cozy up in for the October season. Stay bold and cozy.
