My name is Mischa Her! I am a senior in Social Work. I am also a RA and the President of Asian Student Union on campus. My favorite things do is hangout with some friends or just drive around and enjoy the scenery. My favorite thing about CSS is the nonstop events that happen around campus. The events are one of the best ways to get involved and connect with everyone! This is my third year of being in TRIO and I’m so grateful to be a part of this amazing program. TRIO has helped me build connections from all around the world. This helped me build my connections with other social workers and relationships in my future career. TRIO has helped me in numerous ways. I love being a part of TRIO!  

My name is Caprice Castellano, I am going to be a senior Social Work major with a Psychology minor this year! Some of my hobbies include listening to music (I really enjoy Afrobeats and R&B!), I LOVE watching football, basketball, and soccer games, and I also really enjoy going to concerts! My favorite thing about CSS is how small the community is. That has really allowed me to be able to connect with my professors and find my amazing friend group. I have been in TRIO since my freshman year and have loved every second of it. TRIO has helped me understand all things college-related, especially since I am a first-generation student. I knew absolutely NOTHING about college, but with the help of TRIO, I can now help my younger siblings and other first-gen students with what I know about college. There are also so many different opportunities that TRIO offers, and my favorite ones were going to New York for spring break and going to Washington, DC, for the AAUW Women's Leadership Conference!  

My name is Ellie DeCrans, and I am a third-year student here at CSS! I am a psychology major and a fine arts minor! One of my favorite things about school here and campus life are the jobs that I participate in on campus! I work for TRIO SSS as an ambassador and am beyond excited to be a mentor this year! I have been a part of TRIO since I was a freshman, and I am so grateful for all the support it has given me! Some of my hobbies include thrifting, listening to music, being out in nature, and skiing in the winter. But my favorite thing to do is to help people and create belonging, which is why I am so excited to mentor this year! 

Hey everyone! My name is Erin and I am a junior Exercise Physiology (DPT Directed) major with a minor in psychology! I love the outdoors, exploring local businesses, as well as a coffee enthusiast. My favorite thing about Scholastica so far is the library, I enjoy seeing familiar faces and studying in the many different student sections. My personal favorite is sitting next to the fireplace! TRIO has helped me with so many things since I transferred from LSC in 2022 as a first year college student. My favorite thing about this program is the community and the connections I have made so far from it.  

Hey I’m Kathlyn Ofori-Aboagye. I am a sophomore nursing major. My hobbies include trying new things, binge watching, and anything with adrenaline.

I have been in TRIO SSS for a year and I absolutely love it. TRIO is like having a clutch you never knew you needed. The team is amazing all together, and make you feel welcome at all times.

Advice: College is filled with last minutes but it’s never too late to ask for help and have fun whilst doing it.

I’m a Junior, Psychology major Occupational Therapy track. I’m involved in many campus activities such as working for Student Activities, as well as President for Latin Student Union, Rugby, and Event coordinator for Black Student Union. I’ve been apart of TRIO since my freshman year. TRIO has been great for finding resources and meeting new people throughout campus!
